18th Century Mill
The building itself is an old water mill impressively dating back to the 18th century. It sits on the banks of the river Ystrad in the hamlet of Brookhouse, on the outskirts of Denbigh.
The mill has been many things over the years, originally as a flour/grain mill, then at some point in the middle of the last century being converted into a house and working pottery by the Powell family, and latterly being converted into a pub in the 80’s and run for over forty years by the family of the late John and Karen Hall. We hope to be able to continue their great work in making the mill a wonderful pub at the heart of its local community for another forty years.
